Maschere delle Virtù Corrotte

In ancient Greece, the first forms of theatrical performance that used rather grotesque masks to simulate human emotions, such as joy, sadness, or anger, were developed. The masks were worn by actors to represent the character they were playing, while completely hiding their individuality, feelings, and true emotions. Although centuries have passed, we too, in our daily lives, often wake up and choose our best mask to wear, often out of fear of judgment, a sense of inadequacy, to feel accepted, well-liked, and loved by the surrounding environment. But often, the more the mask exaggerates beautiful smiles, the more invalidating the amount of true suffering that lies behind it... This is the meaning of acting, masking what we often don't have the courage to talk about ourselves. And what mask are you wearing?
